Titans Cover as Ravens Win 24-18
The Baltimore Ravens beat the Tennessee Titans 24-18 on Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium, and the game played out close to the way our numbers expected โ just not close enough to the exact scoreline.
Our premium play was Tennessee +11.5, and it cashed. The Titans never threatened to win outright, but they lost by only six, staying well inside the number against a Baltimore team that never pulled away the way a double-digit favorite is supposed to. That was the whole thesis: an 0-3 team with a low-turnover offense can stay live against a favorite whose profile is softer than its record, especially when the spread sits above two touchdowns.
Our model also landed on the under, and that hit. The game finished at 42 total points, and the under got there. The moneyline call on Baltimore was correct as well, so the model swept spread, total, and moneyline.
The one projection that missed was the scoreline itself. Our model expected a 26-15 Ravens win. Baltimore got to 24 and Tennessee put up 18, so the margin landed close while the shape of the game did not. That is the honest read: the side and total were right, the exact score was not.
What does this tell us for future picks? The low-turnover dog against an overvalued favorite is a profile worth revisiting, and it travels beyond this matchup. The bigger variable going forward is how Baltimore gets priced, because any number built on this offense needs to reflect what actually showed up on the field.
